If your Ford is equipped with SYNC 4, the process is fast, easy, and unlocks a ton of features—from hands-free calling and voice texting to wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

📱 Step-by-Step: Sync Your Phone to Ford SYNC 4

1. Power Up Your Ford

Start your vehicle and make sure the SYNC 4 system is turned on.

2. Enable Bluetooth on Your Phone

On your device, go to:

  • Settings > Bluetooth

  • Toggle it On

3. Access the SYNC Bluetooth Menu

On your vehicle’s screen:

  • Tap Settings

  • Then tap Bluetooth

  • Select Add a Phone

Your Ford will now begin searching for nearby Bluetooth devices.

4. Pair the Device

Once your phone detects SYNC (or your vehicle name), tap it.

Make sure the pairing code on your phone matches the one on your vehicle’s screen, then tap Pair.

5. Grant Permissions

Your phone may ask for access to your contacts, messages, and media. Tap Allow so SYNC 4 can give you full functionality.

6. You’re In!

You’re now connected and ready to:
